One of Glenn's biggest dream all his life was to be an astronaut.
He could have became an astronaut if he wanted to, but he decided he wanted to give back and is now teaching 8th graders about science and space.
When we were visiting in Texas for Aaron and Michelle's wedding, Glenn was so excited to go and visit the NASA Space Center. He has always wanted to go there someday. When we drove up into the gates, Glenn became very quiet and I looked over to see a tear fall from his eye. He saw me looking at him and he said to me that "This is like a dream come true to be here. I always dreamed of being an astronaut".
The pictures in the slide show are only maybe one eighth of the pictures Glenn took there. He was in heaven and he could have spent 3 days looking at everything.

so glad to see you blogging again :) it's really cool that you were a part of something so important to Glenn; one day he'll get his chance in space. i enjoyed the pics, i've never been and i would have enjoyed visiting there too. thanks for sharing!
